Mark Schwartz, Executive Director

Community Involvement: Mark currently serves on a number of Boards and Committees, including the Board of the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency, the executive committee of Community Legal Services in Philadelphia, and President of the Pennsylvania Health Law Project.

He is also a co-founder and long-time officer of the Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania (formerly the Pennsylvania Low Income Housing Coalition), and a founding member and long time president of the Pennsylvania Community Real Estate Corporation. Mr. Schwartz is an at-large member of the PACDC Board. He is also the President of the National Council of State Housing Boards.

Awards: Mark has received multiple awards, including:

• 2008 Donald W. Dowd Alumni Association Award for Public Service from the Villanova Law Alumni Association
• 2007 Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania Leadership Award
• The Philadelphia Bar Association Andrew Hamilton Award for exemplary service in the public interest (2002)
• Philadelphia Association of Community Development Associations for contributions to the CDC industry (2003)
• The Philadelphia Bar Association Real Property Section Good Deed Award for contributions to the community (2004)
• Pennsylvania Legal Services for outstanding leadership in support of legal services (1996)
• Philabundance Harvester Award for fighting hunger (1998)
• PEC Volunteer Award (1989)
