In its nearly 40-year history, RHLS has helped leverage more than $750,000,000 of federal, state, and private investment into disinvested Pennsylvania communities. This investment has generated, preserved, or renovated more than 5,900 units of affordable housing for low and lower income Pennsylvania families.
In 2011, The Resource for Great Programs, Inc., conducted a review of RHLS for the Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network, Inc. (PLAN). The review found that RHLS excels in the following areas: strong outcomes; experienced, motivated staff; clear strategic vision; good mix of service strategies; and entrepreneurial resource development and service delivery approach.
RHLS staff have accumulated dozens of awards, including multiple winners of the prestigious Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network Excellence Award.
RHLS staff have published dozens of articles, reports, manuals, op-eds, and letters to the editor.
